Wilma Jean Melson

Mrs. Melson was born September 27, 1940 in Dothan, AL, daughter of the late Lewis Beecham Justice and Rachel Peters Myers. She was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church in Dothan, AL and was retired from LaGrange Molding after 32 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Melson; three children, Cathy (Michael) Pike, Michael Melson, and Landon Clyde (Terrie) Melson; grandsons, Chris Pike, Brady Pike, Dusty Melson, Michael Melson, Landon Ray (Valerie) Melson, Dino Melson, and Brandon Melson; granddaughters, Raechel Pike, Michelle Melson, Kayleigh Melson, Libby Pike, Brantley Melson, and Asah Pike; several great grandchildren; sister, Fettie (Billy) Bottoms; best friend and sister-in-law, Athalan Register; special friends, Etherine Allen and Geneva Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends at LaGrange Molding.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 8, 2014 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend David Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
