Alma James Monceaux

Alma James Monceaux, 79, of Lake Charles, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Accel At College Station, TX. She was born to her late parents, Willie and Dee (Roy) Laviolette on October 5, 1940 in Estherwood, LA. She enjoyed keeping touch with her friends and family on Facebook, enjoyed cooking, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Most of all, she was a Meme to everyone she met.

She is survived by three sons, Mike Monceaux and wife Katherine of Caldwell, TX, John Monceaux of Lake Charles, David Monceaux and wife Heather of Floral City, FL; one sister, Rose Lapoint of Estherwood, LA; six grandchildren; along with four great grandchildren.

Alma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leade Monceaux; one son, Gerry Monceaux; her parents; along with her brother and sisters.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 10:00am, with Bro. Brian Fitkin officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, from 8:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Charles.
