

Services for Artie Webb will be 2 p.m. Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. The Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday June 11, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home and will continue at 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
Mrs. Webb passed away June 9, 2012. She was born August 6, 1925 in Florien, Louisiana to N.R. and Mary (Molly) Miller. She was a resident of DeRidder for about 22 years where she managed a restaurant. She moved to Lake Charles in 1971. She worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital as a Certified Dietitian’s Assistant until she retired at the age of 65. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and the Thursday morning Prayer Group.
Survivors include her son, R.L. Webb and wife Linda of Iowa, Louisiana; daughters, Diana Thompson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Lyndia Tate and husband Randy of Destrehan, Louisiana; grandchildren, Dr. Darren Tate and wife Cindi of Fort Worth, Texas, Jenean Egloff and husband Chris of Midlothian, Texas, Daniel Tate and wife Shanna of Metairie, Louisiana, Lori Thompson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Julie Poole and husband Scott of Benton, Arkansas, Jim Thompson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Patrick Thompson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kane Webb and wife Ginger of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kevin Webb and wife Julie of Woodlawn, Louisiana, and Kip Webb and wife Cherie of Iowa, Louisiana; and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, N.R. and Mary Miller, 4 sisters, a brother, and son-in-law, Chris Thompson.
