Betty Sue (Callahan) Guillory

She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and exhibited her faith in her daily life. She was born in Monroe, LA and graduated from Marion High School Class of 1955. After graduation Betty left Louisiana and settled in Houston where she remained until her death. She worked for Texas Instruments for 28 years and JoAnn Fabrics for 29 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Kelly Guillory of Cypress, TX; 2 brothers, Charles (Maudeen) Callahan of Sulphur, LA, John (Sue) Blake of Goldonna, LA; granddaughters, Jana Rene Guillory, Lauren Sloan Guillory and Vanessa Lynn Guillory and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Callahan; stepfather, Patrick J. Blake; mother, Fannie Della Brewton and one brother, Mike Callahan.

Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Betty’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Her family, friends and neighbors loved her and will miss her dearly.
