

Betty Kiser was a loving wife and mother of three, who was always generous with her family and friends. Being a teacher meant everything to her. Through the years of her career, she took great pleasure in looking into the bright faces of her students, teaching them and guiding them into their futures. She taught elementary school, mainly 5th grade, in Louisiana until she retired. After retiring she realized that she wasn’t ready to give up teaching, so she applied and was accepted to teach for the Department of Defense on an army base in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul L. Kiser, Sr., and her firstborn son, Paul L. Kiser, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Calvin L. Kiser, and his wife, Teri. Calvin’s daughter, Michelle Hyde, and her husband, Chip Hyde, and their children: Miley Hyde, Dylan Wilkes, and his wife, Cinder Wilks, and their three children, Hunter, Ryder, and Allana; Dalton Wilkes, and his wife, Amber Wilks, and their two children, Rylee and Wesley. She is also survived by her daughter, Tanya Eckhoff. Tanya’s son, James Eckhoff, and his wife, Rebecca Eckhoff, and their two sons: Henry Eckhoff and William Eckhoff.
