Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Brett was the oldest of four brothers and a proud son of J. Kurt and Dana Daigle. He carried with him a strong sense of responsibility, a curious spirit, and a deep love for adventure that defined every chapter of his life.
He served as the Regional Safety Manager at Garrett Construction, where he earned admiration for his dedication, leadership, and genuine care for others. He took immense pride in his work and lived with integrity in every role he played.
At the center of Brett’s world was his wife, Joyce Daigle, his partner in every sense. Joyce wasn’t just by his side—she was his joy, his strength, and his truest companion. Together, they shared everything Brett loved most: skydiving, hiking, traveling, working out, photography, road-trips in his beloved Audi, and making memories with family and friends. It was in Joyce that Brett found the kind of love that transformed a life. Her unwavering love and belief in him made all the difference, and Brett returned that love fully, deeply, and without hesitation. Their connection was genuine, passionate, and inspiring to everyone who knew them.
Brett is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry Lee and Jean Marie Hymel, his step-grandmother, Connie Hymel, and his paternal grandparents, Joseph M. and N. Louise Daigle.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Stephen and Gracie Simpleman, Kaitlyne, Morgan, Sean, and Lena Daigle; his parents, J. Kurt and Dana Daigle; his brothers, Derek Daigle, Jeremy Daigle (Devin), and Jason Daigle (Rebecca); and his beloved nieces and nephews Derek Jr., Elliot, Grayson, Daisy, and Madison—each of whom he loved dearly.
Brett leaves behind a wide circle of family, friends, and colleagues whose lives were touched by his warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit.
Celebrations of Brett’s life will be held in both his hometown of Lake Charles and his home in Cañon City, Colorado, with dates to be announced.
Brett will be remembered not only for his adventurous spirit and infectious smile, but for the way he loved—with his whole heart. His story is one of purpose, connection, and a love that lives on in those who were blessed to know him.
