Born in Snyder, OK, Tom was a resident of Lake Charles, US Army Veteran of Korea, a chemical engineer graduate, and a retired area supervisor for Amoco Oil Company. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Chapter J, an avid deer hunter and he enjoyed fishing as well as traveling most every summer throughout the US and also was a member of the Shriners.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Corinne Griggs; two sons, Ron Griggs and wife, Joy and Stuart Griggs all of Lake Charles; and grandchildren, Brian Griggs, Travis Griggs, Cheryl Koskie, Janet Britton, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday February 15, 2018 from 5-8pm resuming at 12pm on Friday February 16, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 16, 2018 at 2pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Consolota Cemetery.
