Bunice Mary Broussard

Bunice Mary Broussard, 96, of Lake Charles, passed into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in her home. She was born on December 25, 1923 in Maurice, LA; the twelfth of seventeen children. She was a parishioner at St. Margaret Catholic Church for many years. Her passion in life was her family and faith. Family meals were so important to her and were held on Sundays for lunch. She was a seamtress and never charged for her services. She always felt it was a gift from God.

She is survived by six children, Faye Savant and husband Kerry of Iowa, LA, Lynn Broussard and wife Debbie of Lake Charles, Kenneth Broussard and wife Linda of Lake Charles, Jerry Broussard and wife Sheila of Sulphur, Gilbert Broussard and wife Gayla of Moss Bluff, Mary Beth Fendley and husband Brent of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Toni Mora (Jeremy), Jolene Martinez (Justin), Jason Broussard, Jackie Guidry, John Broussard II (Natalie), Justin Broussard, Rebeka Myers (Joe), John David Broussard, Derrick Fendley (Jenel), Alicia Fendley, Brandon Fendley; 12 great grandchildren, Jordyn, Justin, Jesse, Jacob, Carl, Grayson, Stella, Bailey, Jasper, Malorie, Emersyn, and Mia; along with 1 great great grandson, Bentley.

Bunice is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, John D. Broussard; two grandchildren, Nicole Savant, Jeremy Savant; one great grandchild, Addisyn Fendley; along with 16 brothers and sisters.

Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
