Cecil Douglas Cassell

Born June 05, 1944 to Mr. Cecil Cassell and Mrs. Della Cassell, he was one of four children born and has lived all of his life in Lake Charles, LA. After graduating High School and attending college, Cecil served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Citgo and retired as an Operator, after 33 years of Employment. He was a member of The Veteran’s Administration, had a love for golf, LSU Sports, fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 48 years; Joan Cassell, one son; Douglas W. Cassell and wife Bridgette of Tulsa, OK., two sisters; Linda Cassell, Connie Jones of Lake Charles, LA., three grandchildren; Janett , Samantha and Matthew Cassell.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister; Marjorie Ruley.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA., and will resume Monday, April 20, 2015 from 12:00pm until time of service.

Funeral Service will be Monday, April 20, 2015 2:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
