Paul dedicated more than 25 years to owning and operating C&L Aqua Professionals. One of his greatest joys in life was meeting and marrying the love of his life and best friend, Jenny Jones. Known for his extraordinary generosity, Paul was also exceptionally intelligent and had a deep passion for reading.
He will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his love of singing, his many travels with Jenny, and his talent for woodworking. Paul cherished his family above all else and found great happiness in tending his garden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Jenny Oquain Jones; children, Jamie Jones, Cody Jones and wife Eileen, and Eric Paul Jones and wife Robin; grandchildren, Amanda Brett and partner Linsey, Casey Jones and wife Tristan, Savannah Jones, Scarlett Jones, London Jones, Mia Jones and Victor Jones; great grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Karter Jones, Layla Jones and Spencer Jones; siblings, Myron Jones, John Jones and wife Janet, Michael Jones and wife Rebecca and Lila Jerome and husband Jon; extended siblings, Ricky Bushnell and wife Katherin, Lela Whitehurst and Wayne Bushnell and wife Donna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Gene Jones and Barbara Eldridge Jones; step father, Henry "Pappy" Swain; extended mom, Wendy Whitehurst, and siblings, David Jones and James Jones.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, November 28, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 29, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home led by Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
