Donald "Donny" Wayne Granger

Donny spent most of his life in Lake Charles working in the automotive industry. A consummate salesman, Donny could always be found adding smiles to people’s faces, selling them on the inherent joys of life. He enjoyed strong black coffee, Oreos cookies, dancing with Karen and keeping the drumbeat of a rock-n-roll classic.

Donny was preceded in death by his parents, Minos Joseph and Cecile Valerie Granger; and his brothers Robert Paul Granger; and Patrick Joseph Granger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Karen (Knapp); his sister Jennifer (Ronald) Legnion and their children Brandon and Sarah; his sons; Ross and his daughter Emmalee; Rodd; Reagan and his children Ellyse, Ellaina, and Noah; nieces and nephews, Heather Turquette and Ryan Granger. Extended family includes Robbie (Nicole) Austin and their children Kaia, Asha, and Jonah; and Kellie (James) Moss and their children Noah, Ian, and Emma; JeanDe (Fontenot) and her children Isabel and Robert; sister in-law Linda Granger.

A gathering will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 to celebrate Donny’s life from 10:00 – 1:00 pm at Hixson funeral Home, Lake Charles. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles.
