Earl Joseph Courville, 53, of Iowa, LA, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in Lake Charles. Earl was born to his late parents, Aubrey and Marie Courville on December 25, 1967, in Sulphur, LA. He was a faithful servant of Jesus and loved spending time with his adoring family, whom he loved dearly. Despite his intelligence, he was a meek and humble man. Some of Earl's hobbies were fixing small engines, traveling, music, and singing to the top of his lungs. He was proud of his military service in the United States Navy, and served in the Gulf War on the USS KIDD. Earl worked as a skilled plant operator for Lyondell Basell for 25 years. To those who loved him, he was known as Honey, Dad, and Grandad.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 beautiful years, Debbie Courville; children, Matthew Courville (Amanda) of Clarksville, TN, Amanda Bertrand (Matt) of Lake Charles, Joshua Courville (Solaummon) of Washington, D.C., Daniel Courville of Lake Charles, and Michael Courville of Lake Charles; three sisters, Quinnetta deVargas (Chris) of Moss Bluff, Terry Deleon (Rick) of Vinton, LA, Letitia Asher (Dustin) of Coldwater, MS; sister-in-law, Noi Courville of Vinton, LA, five grandchildren, Lakyn, Addie, Kate, Samuel, and Lissie.
Earl is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Courville.
A Celebration of Earl's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1:00pm, with Pastor Adam Brock and Dr. Wayne Dartez officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, beginning at 12:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Pinehill Cemetery in Iowa, LA.
