

Surviving are her three daughters, Vickie Pilkerton and husband Mike of Deridder; Peggy Young and husband Gary of Iowa and Glennita Huber and Husband David of Moss Bluff, one brother J.C. Sarver Jr., two sisters Louise Powell and Ella Mae Brown, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents JC and Willie Sarver, two sisters, Edith Ramby and Jessie Young, and one great granddaughter, Christian Cormier.
As a faithful member of Glad Tidings Church, she was an integral part of the women’s prayer group. Elaine consistently lived a Christ-like life, totally selfless with a precious gift of making everyone around her feel loved. She was an accomplished artist, fun-loving prankster and enjoyed baking. Being farm-raised, she was sweet as pie and tuff as nails with the stamina of the Energizer Bunny.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Hixson funeral home in Lake Charles. Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm and will resume Saturday 9 am until the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prien Cemetery in Lake Charles.
