

She was born in Grand Lake, Louisiana. She lived in Sweet Lake all her life and was a member of Sweet Lake Methodist Church. She was on the Cameron Parish Library Board for 40-years. She belonged to the Cameron Parish Home Demonstration Club and had received many awards for her works. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross during Hurricane Audry. She grew, propagated and cross pollinated Day Lilies and loved working in her yard. She operated and spent many hunting seasons at her Sweet Lake hunting camp. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Glenn Hebert and wife Peggy of Sweet Lake; one sister Eva Jane Newell of Lake Charles; grandchildren Laura Lynn Wason and husband Paul, Jo Ellen Ratliff and husband Dave, and Kipp Hebert of Sweet Lake; step grandchildren Stephanie Armentor and husband Joe of Lacassine, Patricia Iles and husband Harry of Moss Bluff, and Lisa Babineaux and husband Joey of Sweet Lake; numerous great, and great- great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles. W. Hebert; daughter Linda Fay Hebert; sisters Dorthy Thibodeaux and Lillie Ellender.
Visitation will be on Sunday March 18, 2012, from 4:00-8:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 8:00am, until service time at 3:00pm.
