She was a native of Glenmora and has been residing in Lake Charles since 1946.
Survivors include her son, Scotty Winegeart and wife, Nancy of Moss Bluff; daughter, Cathryn Marie Winegeart Davidson and husband, Andy of Plano, TX, as well as her special caregivers, Tracy Francis, Dina Areno and Pam Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, Jehu Winegeart; a son, Steve Mark Winegeart and her parents, Ovide and Elizanne Guillot Lachenaye Jr.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Luke Liechty and Bro. Todd Tucker will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 8 a.m. til time of service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Odyssey Staff and Michelle White.
