She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include one son, Richard Thomas and wife, Courtney of Georgetown, TX; one daughter, Penni Thomas of Lake Charles; her mother, Opal Israel of Lake Charles; two brothers, Wylie Israel of Lake Charles and Delton Boseley of Ragley; one sister, Nancy Blount and husband Willie of Moss Bluff; and seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Israel; one brother, John Israel, Jr. and one granddaughter, Mattie Lee.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 6, in Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Ardizonne will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Cemetery in Kinder, Louisiana. Visitation is from 5p.m. to 9p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
