

Harry James “Chuckie” Johnson, Jr. was born to Jacqueline and Harry on Spetember12, 1981 in Lake Charles at St. Patrick’s Hospital. He graduated from Barbe High School and attended McNeese University for several semesters. At the time of his death he was pursuing a degree in Mass Communications from the University of Phoenix online.
He started working at 15 years old at Casa Manana and throughout his life he continued to work in restaurants such as Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s. During this time he developed a passion for food that his illness did not quell. He dreamed of one day opening his own food truck and bringing his style of cooking to the city.
Chuckie’s interests included: sports, Rap, writing, Marvel Comic’s and the movies they generated. He had developed a character and story to one day submit for publication and was excited about finishing it.
When he was called home to the Lord on March 17, 2017 he had been preceded in death by his father; Harry Sr., his grandparents; Mary Eva Fobbs, Joseph Elton Fobbs and Pearl and Ivory Johnson Sr.. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Jacqueline, his sisters; Stacy (Gerald) Reado of Fort Worth, Texas, Alexandra (Dorian) Brooks, his grandmother Geraldine Fobbs, his Aunt Deborah Collins, his brother and sister of the heart; Darrell Johnson and Tami St Cyr, his son of the heart; Latrail Lavergne, 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 grand nephews, 1 grandniece, a host of family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles from 12-2:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhome.com.
