

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ethel Andrus.
He was born in Rose, LA and lived in Lake Charles most of his life, where he was a member of Refuge Temple Church. He retired from Southern Tire as a Tire Technician and also worked for Bulk Transport for many years. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, friend who was loved by all who knew him. He was also known as the "Candyman."
He is survived by his sons, Richard Andrus and wife Linda of Houston, Hillary Andrus, Jr. and wife Connie of Lake Charles, Isaac Andrus and wife Gloria of Dallas and Michael Andrus of Lake Charles; daughters, Ella Andrus and Allen Daigle of Lake Charles, Lee Ethel Andrus of Lake Charles and Patricia Roy of Lake Charles; fifteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
His service will be 11:00am, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Kenneth Valentine will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00am until time of service.
