He was born in Welsh and lived in Lacassine. He worked for Gulf States Auto Logistics as a transport driver. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He was always joking and making you smile and he was always willing to help others. He was called Boudreaux by his co-workers.
James is survived by his wife, Vickie LaBiche Benoit of Lacassine; sons, Cody P. Benoit of Lake Charles; Cade M. Benoit and wife Leah of Bossier City; stepson, Jeff LeJeune of Lake Charles; brothers, Ronald Benoit of Gonzales; Dennis Benoit of Patterson; sister, Denise Clement of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Kyle, Devin and Ethan and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennie and Enola Labbie Benoit.
