Jared Anthony Francis Jr.

He was born in Lake Charles to Jared Francis, Sr. and Donschelle Gay Francis. Jared attended Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was very respectful, outgoing and was a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed making his friends and family laugh. He loved sports, especially basketball. Jared was a rising 5th grader at Fairview Elementary.

Survivors include his parents, Jared and Donschelle Francis, Sr.; 4 siblings, Jeremiah, Dajah, De’Ajah and Da’Layjah Francis; paternal grandparents, James and Joann Francis, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Donald Gay; maternal grandmother, Michelle Harrison and husband, Lester; paternal great grandfather, Earl Robinson; paternal great grandmother, Elizabeth Watson; maternal great grandfather, Elton Thomas, Sr.; maternal great grandmother, Rodruma J. Walker; paternal uncle, James Francis, Jr. and wife, Angela; maternal aunts, Brittany and Chartara Gay. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jamarcus Fontenot; and his maternal aunt, Roschelle Gay.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 9:00 am until the start of service at Mt Pilgrim Baptist Church in Lake Charles. His service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be at Combre Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
