Juanita Ann (Cormier) Fontenot

She is survived by her 93 year old brother, Percy Cormier of Jennings, her husband George Fontenot of Lake Charles, sons; Gregory M. Fontenot of Lake Charles, Scott Fontenot of Lake Charles, Wade Fontenot and wife Ashley of Sulphur. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Caleb Fontenot, Mary Beth Fontenot, Ashley F. Rice, Gregory M. Fontenot II, Cole Fontenot and Chloe Schexneider, Godchildren; Martha Cormier Roy of Houma, Bennett Hebert of Gueydan, Kendra Blanchette Duhon of Moss Bluff and her special nieces and nephew; Tim Simon of Lake Arthur, Starrlet Simon Blanchette of Westlake and Trudy Simon LeJuine of Iowa and numerous other nieces and nephews whom she loved.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Leonce and Zelma Cormier of Jennings and her siblings of 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, she was loved by all who knew her. She was such a kind and gentle spirit, who loved the Lord and the Blessed Mother.

She will be truly missed in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Hixson's Funeral Home on Friday, March 8th from 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited by family members at 6:15 P.M. and followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. lead by Deacon Harold Nixon of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

She will be laid to rest on Wednesday March 13, 2024 at Highland Memory Gardens at 11:00 A.M.
