Wayne was a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish and graduated from Grandlake High School where he ran track and played baseball. He had a passion for woodworking and was unable to work due to being disabled. Wayne had eight cats which he loved dearly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Avery Grace LeBlanc and Adalyn Gunderson; mother, Teresa Bertrand and step father, Lukas Bertrand; father Kirk Wayne LeBlanc, Sr.; brothers, Shannon Wayne Sterling and Adam Moore; brother, Chas LeBlanc; sister, Candace LeBlanc Savant; aunts, Tina Breaux Savoie and husband Chucky and Pam LeBlanc Miller, Sheila LeBlanc Blanchard, Cindy LeBlanc Miller, Trudy LeBlanc Roofner and husband Chris; uncle, Travis LeBlanc; and great aunt, Barbra Sue Breaux.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Henry Sterling, Sr. and Hilda Ledoux Sterling; uncle, Henry Sterling, Jr.; aunt, Darlene Bertrand Thacker; uncle, Pete Bertrand; uncle, Jeff Miller; paternal grandparents, Agricole LeBlanc, Jr. and Margorie LeBlanc; cousin, Chance Gabriel Savoie.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 until the procession leaves for the church at 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
