Iowa - Lawrence “Pic” Heyd, 82, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 in a local hospital.
He loved doing dozer and tractor work.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Adams Heyd of Iowa; step sons, M. Scott Young and wife Peggy of Westlake; Roy Young and wife Norma of Lake Charles; step daughter, Susan Cole of Lake Charles; special daughter, Phyllis Johnson and husband Van of Iowa; step grandchildren, Juanita, Scotty, Angela, Brent and Robert; fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand "Man" and Elizabeth "Betty" Heyd.
His funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Charlie Langford will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Park Cemetery.
