Grandchildren were very special and a great enjoyment for Lillian. Lillian worked for 7 years at Lacassine High School in the Reading Lab. She was a 4-H leader for 10 years at Lacassine H.S., a substitute teacher for many years and was very active in the Mother's Club. She served for 30 years as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa where she taught Baptism classes. She was a charter member of the St. Raphael Catholic Daughter Court #1377 of Iowa. She was a very active member and loved her court dearly. She was a chairperson of the country store for many years for the church bazaar, always ready to help her community, church, or local school and was in charge of many fundraisers. Lillian loved to cook, bake and was always a busy lady. She loved to can vegetables and fruits (especially always making jelly). She loved to do crafts, crochet, and make rosaries to send off to missions. Lillian spent a lot of time caring for many nieces and nephews in her younger years. She was a special lady to all she met.
