Lois Geiger Cowen

Lois was born in New Orleans, LA on September 4, 1925 to her parents Emanuel and Oleander Geiger. She moved with her family at the age of 12 to Lake Charles in 1937. On June 19, 1949 she married Giles David Cowen. She was a life member of the Lake Charles Garden Club and past President of the Lake Charles Lioness Club. She was also a member of the Lake Charles Rose Society and the Lake Charles Enterprise Club. Lois was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She enjoyed studying various religions, book reading and a variety of creative artistic endeavors.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Becky Cowen Coleman of Morgan City, LA, Cheri Lyn and husband Kevin Landry of Moss Bluff, LA; son, Wayne and wife Joan Cowen, of Lake Charles, LA; two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Giles David Cowen and numerous beloved pets, along with a herd of cats.
