Maria Smith

She was a native of Manila, Philippines and was a resident of Elton, LA. Maria was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Smith and wife Amy of Elton, LA; one daughter, Nora Marie Smith of Lufkin, TX; one sister, Beth Gelizon of Manila, Philippines; four grandchildren, John Paul Smith, Michael Comeaux, Jerami Comeaux and Leighton Lanerie; three great grandchildren, Michael Comeaux, Alexis Comeaux and Christian Comeaux. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Momma Margie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John T. Smith; and one son, John G. Smith; and her parents, Franscisco and Emiliana Gelizon.

Her funeral will be at 1p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
