Mary Frances was strong-willed, vibrant, cheerful, and deeply loving. She had a way of walking into a room and turning heads—always dressed in colorful clothing, her hair perfectly done, and wearing glasses no one could forget. She will be greatly and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary Frances was the oldest daughter of Clarence “Shawee” Crader and Voncile Crader. She attended the Louisiana School of the Deaf. In 1966, she married, the late Norris Dale Breaux. They made their home in Lafayette, Louisiana, later moving to Texas where they were married for 41 years until his passing. Together, they owned and operated their own businesses.
She was a deeply devoted mother to her two daughters: Mary Dalan Breaux (the late Clint Savage) and Jessica Breaux Rogers (Rob Rogers). She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Victoria (Jonathan), Zachary, Allyson, Mary Elizabeth, Averie, and Abigail, and a loving great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren: Ellis, Karter, and Lybbie.
Mary Francis is survived by her loving sister, Tina (Tom), her companion of the last 17 years, John Deshotel Sr., and his son John Jr. Mary Frances had numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Dale Breaux; her parents, Clarence “Shawee” and Voncile Crader; her brothers, Ronnie and Roland; her sisters, Mary Jane, Sheila, and Karan; and her son-in-law, Clint Savage.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to Mary’s longtime friends, Rose M. Hukins and Helen Claiborne—friends like no other, whom their mother loved very much. A special thank you to John Deshotel for loving our mom deeply and always being by her side.
