Melanie Leger and I attended Rosteet Junior High together in the mid 1970s.  When I dust off the memories from my mind, I can't help but smile when I recall a sweet kid who was a joy to be around.  Nearly half a century has passed since then.  I'm saddened by the temporary separation between Mel and her loved ones, but I am filled with joy knowing that she has received her "Welcome Home Hug" from our LORD JESUS!

So sorry for your loss! She will always be with you in your ❤️ heart. My heart is breaking for you and family’s loss. Prayers and love 💕

Mel’s was one of the most beautiful and genuine people I’ve ever known. So kind and sweet and really loved her family. Get your rest now classmates but I can assure you, you will never be forgotten.

Mel had a gentle humble spirit and would go out her way to help others. She was truly a servant of God. Gone too soon but you will live on in my heart ♥ and memories until we meet in heaven. I had the pleasure of working with Ms Mel at the department of health. Such a sweet kind person always had a smile and loved to laugh. I always enjoyed visiting with her. Prayers for the her family for peace and comfort.

I am still in disbelief you are no longer here.  You always treated me and my family like your family.   You watched my nieces and nephews grow up and I watched your grandchildren grow up.  Oh, the stories we have and the laughs we had!  Im so glad you, Kelley and I had our last slumber party this past September.   I will miss you always and I will pray for your family.  I love you Mel Mel.  May you rest in peace.

The last memory we made together will forever be in my mind. Sorry can’t share on here but playing pool is still not a game I want to play. I’m sure going to miss you my dear sweet friend. I know for sure Melanie was and is an angel sent by God for what now seems like a short while. The way she showed love and kindness to all is an example for us to emulate. I've only recently had the pleasure of getting to know Ms. Mel, as she preferred to be called, at work in the Office of Workers' Compensation.  She was an extremely kind and loving person and she spoke often with love of her children.  She will be missed tremendously and I feel very fortunate to have known her, even if for a short period of time.  I think the sun will be a little less bright with her absence.  Tim Running.
