Norris Istre

He was a native of Jennings, LA and has lived in Lake Charles since 1920. He was a member of South City Christian Church and a charter member of Firestone Credit Union. He retired from Firestone. He was an avid golfer and loved to watch golf on television.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Johnson Istre; daughters, Beverly Sue Yencho and husband, Steve and Vickie Lynne Richard and husband, Jack all of Lake Charles; brothers, Clovis Istre of Dallas, TX and Edward Istre and wife, Totsie of Ragley, LA; grandchildren, Lisa Yencho Stockman and husband, Gary, Stephen Yencho, Brandon Richard and wife, Heather, and Jeremy Richard and wife Kaylee; seven great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Wayne Istre; brothers, Clebby Istre, Noah Istre and Curly Istre; sister, Ruby Chiasson.

His service will be 10am, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Rev. Robbie Bacon will officiate. Visitation will begin Thursday 11am- 9pm and resume Friday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
