Phil is survived by his loving family, his son Kevin Broussard and wife Stephanie Corkran Broussard and his daughter M'Lisa Bihmn and husband Randy Bihmn; 8 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Sharon Williams Broussard; his domestic partner of 8 years, Oweta McCloud; his mother Bertha Stelly Broussard; dad Nolan Broussard and sister Peggy Snider.
Phil will be most remembered by his Love for Fishing and Hunting. The Long and successful Television show which he started in 1968 called Outdoors & Fishin'. That’s where Phil took on his long standing nick name of "Cajun" Phil. Cajun Phil & his son Capt. Kevin produced the popular TV series for 57 years Cajun Phil & his son Kevin were also two of the most successful Redfish tournament teams of all times. They also worked very closely at running Kevin’s Popular "Cajun Paradise Charters".
Phil will also be remembered for being Kind Hearted, loving, caring, & always the life of any party with his witty & quick sayings. His favorite sayings to his TV Viewers while fishing was "Come on Funny Feeling". Ole' Cajun left one request, he asked that you don’t feel sad today, he wants you to rejoice and know that he lived a Good Life surrounded by loving caring people and he is now checking out New Fishing areas in the Heavens above.. where He said we will all meet again..

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 25, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. led by Celebrant Jody Tyler. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
