Philip Meryl Lewis

Philip Meryl Lewis, age 79, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 surrounded by his family and friends. Philip was born January 16, 1941 to Delbert O. and Frieda Mc Millan Lewis.

Philip was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He devoted his love and attention to his family. He had a passion for details in working outside in his yard. He enjoyed cars and keeping them detailed. Philip enjoyed cooking and gatherings with family and friends. Philip served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Philip retired after 30 plus years of dedicated service with Lyondell Basell.

Philip is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish Philip's memory are his wife of 57 years Sandra Bell Lewis; sons, Scott Lewis and wife Kathy of Sulphur, LA, Brad and Wife Renee Lewis of Lake Charles, LA; daughter, Kim Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Richard Duhon and wife Sandy of Moss Bluff, LA; sister, Barbara Sockrider of Lake Charles, LA; Three grandchildren Tory Lewis, Bradley Lamar and wife Kristine, Billy Fontenot and wife Ashley; two great grandchildren Emmeline Fontenot, and one on the way Grayson Lamar; several Nieces and Nephews; very close friend, (brother by choice) Barry Daigle and devoted loving caregiver, Charmaine Sullivan.

A visitation for Philip will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM. A burial will occur Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Prien Memorial Park.
