Roger retired from Steamfitter and Pipefitters Local 106. He was known as "Roundman" amongst his co-workers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp on the Ridge in Little Chenier. Many happy times were spent there with friends and family.
Roger was preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda Faye Grimmett Landry, an infant son Tommy Landry, his father, Joseph Dufossat "J.D." Landry, his mother, Shirley Ohlmeyer and husband, Paul, brother, Larry Landry, and two sisters, Carolyn Haviland and Audrey May Broussard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Zachary Landry and his wife, Carly; his grandsons, Logan, Colyn, Weston, and Wyatt; his companion, Julie "JuJu" Bayhi was a longtime family friend; his best friend and neighbor, Gary Peloquin; brothers-in-law, Larry Grimmett and Carl Grimmett.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace with Deacon Tony Pousson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
