I was a shock to see TEE had passed,you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of Third St. growing up and she was a part of that.

When I heard the news on Monday that Maw Maw had passed; immediate sadness filled my heart. I was sad for my cousins and me for the loss of the best Maw Maw a kid could ask for, I was sad for my aunts and uncles for the loss of an irreplaceable mom, but most of all I was sad for the great grandchildren. There’s a lot they don’t know about her, and so much I wish they could learn ... as I have. So I write this to them, to pass on some of the lessons that she has taught me ... lessons about how to live, lessons about how to die, and everything that fills the spaces in between.
Live full ... We are blessed with one life, and we can choose to waste it away, or embrace each day that we have been blessed with. A woman with an unparalleled strength, she saw each obstacle as an opportunity, and always found a way to move forward, make progress, succeed. 
Love ...  Whomever you fall in love with, whomever you end up marrying, love them with the depth, the purity and the unwavering certainty with which Maw Maw loved Paw Paw.  
Laugh ... Even in her darkest days, she managed to laugh and smile; boy what a contagious smile it was.
Trust ... Not everything in life is planned; sometimes you just have to trust that things happen for a reason and everything is going to be all right. Trust takes confidence in oneself, and true belief in someone else; Maw Maw had both.
Give back ... Give back to your community, your faith, your country and those less fortunate. Give even when you don’t have a whole lot to give. 
FAMILY first, FAMILY forever ... Of all the great things Maw Maw accomplished in her life, her proudest achievement is by far her four children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She often welcomed newcomers into the family — or “outlaws” as I like to refer to them  — with a hint of skepticism that only a protective mother can understand. 
In the last weeks of her life, Maw Maw lay in bed waiting to die ... waiting to finally meet up with Paw Paw, Uncle Randy, and Chip. She could no longer do all the things she loved to do, and yet she lay there, day after day. Perhaps it was her innate strength and will that kept her alive. Perhaps she wanted to see or speak to one more of her children or grandchildren. Or perhaps it was her final gift to the family she loved so much ... giving them time to say everything they needed to say, giving them a reason to come together ... giving them one last lesson on how important family is.
So, to all of her great grandchildren ... Live full, Love more. Give more than you take. Laugh more than you cry. Make a difference in your life, and in somebody else’s. Stay close to your family in good times and in bad. And one day, pass these lessons on to your own children ... and tell them this is what you learned from your great-grandma Rosemary Olivier Owens “Maw Maw Tee”.

Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not but find strength in what remains behind. I love you.

My deepest prayers and sympathy go out to all of Aunt Tee's family.  I have so many fond memories of Christmas Eve's carolling on Helen Street and enjoying being together with the Owens and Days at various family functions, but especially meeting up at Day's Cafe.  Aunt Tee was the epitome of JOY.  She always seemed to have a jolliness about her that was contagious.  Although small in stature, she was large in life.  I cherish the times our families were together.  She will be missed.
