

Mr. DuBose was born in Rayne, LA and resided in Ragley. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church of Ragley where he served as an usher. He was retired from Kimball Midwest, was a member of St. Leo’s Holy Name Society of Roberts Cove. He loved his grandchildren and his dog, Lumpi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend. His family wanted to extend their appreciation to his family and friends for their support during his lengthy illness. They also would like to express their gratitude to his nurses and caregivers.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cramer DuBose of Lake Charles; four sons, Mark Joseph DuBose and wife, Jennifer of Ragley, Charles DuBose and wife, Dana of Breaux Bridge, Jude DuBose and fiancé, Jody Meche of Lafayette, Dr. Anthony Paul DuBose of Seattle, WA; one daughter, Cynthia DuBose Cormier of Lake Charles; son-in-law, Al Cormier of Ragley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sister Clare Cramer O'Carmel of Lafayette, Angelina Gonthier of Crowley; Leonard Cramer and wife, Catherine of Opelousas, Leland Hebert Jr. of Rayne, Bernadette Guidry and husband, Douglas, Anthony Cramer and wife, Rhena, Michael Cramer and wife, Yvonne, Loretta Boudreaux and husband, Glen, Theresa Doucet, all of Rayne; grandchildren, Scott, Garrett and Ryan Cormier, Michael and Blake DuBose, Ashley, Steven, and Jordan DuBose, Katrina and Sara DuBose, Patrik and Casey Potts and Kade Hebert, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bernadine DuBose; brother, Michael DuBose; daughter-in-law, Virginia DuBose; sister-in-law, Alberta Cramer Hebert; father and mother-in-law, Jacob and Mary Magdelena H. Cramer; 2 brothers-in-law, Ralph Gonthier and Lawrence Doucet.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, LA. Monsignor Charles DuBois will officiate. Burial will be in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday from 3 p.m.-9 p.m. and will resume Saturday, at the church, at 9 a.m. and continue until the start of service. Scripture Service will be at the funeral home, Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Charitable donations may be made to the Sisters of Mt. Carmel, P.O.
