Born on January 24, 1955, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Armand and Bernice Johnson, Theresa brought laughter and strength into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of resilience, humor, and unwavering love for her family.
A devoted mother and proud grandmother, Theresa’s happiest moments were those spent with her loved ones—whether cheering from the sidelines, swapping stories around the kitchen table, or simply watching hummingbirds and squirrels dance around her backyard. She found joy in the little things.
Theresa worked for many years as a skilled sheet metal mechanic and retired from Boeing with the respect of her peers and the pride of a job well done. She was known for her strong work ethic and her even stronger heart.
An avid sports fan, she cheered passionately for the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers and never missed a good softball game. Her laughter, quick wit, and warm hugs will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Theresa is survived by her loving daughter, Sharra P. Greenlee, and son-in-law Michael, as well as, siblings Wilda, Aubrey, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dallas, her parents, and her sisters Jane, Barbara (Bobbie), and Gloria (Toto).
She leaves behind a proud and loving legacy in her grandchildren: Aiden, Jakob, Riley, Taylor, Sydney, Austin and Bailey who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10:30 am at Hixson Funeral home in Lake Charles. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens.

Theresa’s love lives on in the stories she told, the strength she showed, and the family she so dearly cherished.
