Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Therese Johnson and husband Donald of Lake Charles and Connie Belaire of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Jacob Belaire and Angela Mitchell and husband Michael; three great grandchildren, Brenden, Andrew, and Ethan Mitchell; and a brother, Jack Compton and wife, Charlane of Atlanta, GA.
She is preceded in death her parents; her first husband, Lloyd Leboeuf; and second husband, Curtis Nunez.
Private services will be held for Velma's family at a later time and date. She will be laid to rest at Big Lake Cemetery.
