Vera Britt, age 91, of Lake Charles passed away on Wednesday November 11, 2015. She was born on September 26, 1924 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Wilson and Lillian Holland. Vera enjoyed life and loved her flowers, gardening, birds, Bingo at the Cove, canning and was a great cook.
Vera is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Bergeron and Vivian, her son Perry Britt and his wife Penne, her sister Ethel LeBleu, 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Lillian Holland, her husband James Russell Britt and her son Tommy Eugene Britt.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A Graveside Service Celebrating Vera’s life will follow visitation at 2:00pm at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
