Viola Virginia Aucoin Mire

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was born on April 4, 1927 to William Randolph and Nellie Hubbs Aucoin. Viola was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a church mission. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church family. During her working years she was employed for Olan Mills as sales representative. She was also a hostess and cashier for Jean Lafitte’s and the original Ryan’s. She was a volunteer with the voter’s registration for several years.

Viola is survived by her five children, Johnice Young and husband Kent of Sulphur, LA; Jeffrey Mire and wife LaDale of Kingsland, TX; Brenda Hansen and husband Greg of Wayne, PA; Troy Mire and wife Cheryle of Las Vegas, NV; Renee Pickett and husband David of Napa, CA. She has sixteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and all ten of her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 5, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1pm until service time at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
