He was born in Salina Kansas and lived in Iowa, La. He was a US Air Force retired Vietnam and Korea Veteran. He also worked for Haliburton.
Survivors include his sons, Mike DeWitt of Iowa, LA and Mark DeWitt of Zackary, LA; brother, Robert Dale DeWitt of Minneapolis, KS; sisters, Betty Ann Chevis of Alameda, CA and Virginia Lou DeWitt of Vallejo, CA; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
