

Willie Bargeman was born August 21, 1928 in Cameron, LA. He entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2014 at 1:30am in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was raised in Cameron on Trosclair Rd. until Hurricane Rita, then he moved to Lake Charles. He worked for Joe W. Doxey(Gulf Oil) for many years. He worked and retired with the Cameron Parish Police Jury. He was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church until Hurricane Rita. He served on the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council and was involved in the Men's Club and on the Cemetery Board. After moving to Lake Charles because of Hurricane Rita he became a member of St. Henry Catholic Church on 8th Ave. He received the Devoted Service Medal from Pope John Paul in 1990. He would open the church and make sure that the air condition on and was cool or the heat in the winter time for Sunday morning Mass and funerals. He made sure the graves were clean and painted.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn Bargeman. They had no children. Brothers George and wife Dianne Bargeman, Roy and wife Barbara Bargeman of California, Clifford and wife Irma Bargeman; sisters, Hazel West and Rosie Bargeman. He also had many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
His wife and family would like to express special thanks to his nurses, CNA and staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital 7th floor and a very special thanks to his nurse, Eric and CNA nurses on the 7am to 7pm shift of June 13, 2014 they admitted him.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary (Payton) and O'Neal Bargeman and brothers, Louie Bargeman and Ray Bargeman. Even though all of the staff were very nice and kind to me and the family all of you will be forever in our prayers. Special thanks to Raphael and Mary Bargeman. Mr. Raphael even though you are a cousin he loved you as a dear friend and really enjoyed when he visited and you played your guitar and sang. He also enjoyed the food Ms. Mary fixed for him. Jo Ann Nunez for all the food that you cooked for him and Donny Nunez for the ducks that you would give him during hunting season and for your acts of kindness and prayers. Mary Cockrell for her Monday calls and Iris Jones for his Sunday evening calls and to Dr. Richard Sanders.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. Visitation will be Saturday from 9a.m. until service time at the Sacred Heart hall. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A reception will follow burial at the reception hall.
