Gerald Allen Hines, born on August 10, 1957, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 68. A resident of Ionia, Michigan, Gerald was a beloved and patient individual who touched the lives of many.
In his early life, Gerald was a dedicated Boy Scout leader and worked as a pipefitter for many years, showcasing his commitment and skill in his profession.
Gerald married Yolanda Carrizales on July 6, 2011. He is survived by his son Christopher, and his cherished grandchildren, Xavier and Jasmine. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings Jackie (Kathryn), Kathy (Allan), Carol (Jim), Scott (Tracey), and Rick, along with many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Betty Hines, and stepchildren, Christopher Jr. and Marissa.
Gerald had a passion for gardening, being outdoors, cooking, and was particularly fond of bluegrass music, often playing his banjo with joy and enthusiasm.
His presence will be missed by all who knew him.
