Hugh L Peacock

Hugh L. Peacock, age 89, of Farmington Hills formerly of Lake Odessa passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Briar Hills Assisted Living. Hugh was born on April 2, 1925 in Ionia County to Elwood O. and Greta (Griffith) Peacock. He was a graduate of Lake Odessa High School. In 1946 he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Pacific Rim. On June 4, 1949 he married Barbara Baragar and she preceded him in death on September 6, 1995. Hugh worked as an auto body repair person in Lake Odessa and for the state of Michigan. Survivors include; Children Mark (Daryn) Peacock and Lisa Price, sister Ilene Hynes, grandchildren Mikayla Price and David (Lee) Peacock. Hugh was preceded in death by; his parents, wife Barbara and granddaughter Rachel Peacock. Visitation is planned for Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11am until time of service at 1pm at the Koops Funeral Chapel 935 4th Ave, Lake Odessa, MI 48849. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa immediately following service. Memorials can be given to the VFW Post 4461 Scholarship fund.
