Kathleen Ann Carpenter

Kathleen Carpenter, age 82, of Lake Odessa passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Kathy was born on January 25, 1933 to Warren D. Ford and Helen G. (Showalter) Ford in Rose Center, MI. She was a 1950 graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne, MI. On January 30, 1954 she married George Carpenter and began a lifetime of happiness. Together they raised six children and were blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. Kathy was active with the Michigan Farm Bureau, MSRBA, Romulus Community United Methodist Church, and Central United Methodist Church. Kathy was the assistant superintendent of the Poultry Barn at the Michigan State Fair for 29 years. Kathy will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Visitation for Kathy will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Koops Funeral Chapel from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1pm at the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa. Memorials to Central United Methodist Women’s Association in Kathy’s name would be welcomed.
