

Nancy Marie Cunningham, of Lansing, joined Her Heavenly Father on October 21, 2025, she was the daughter of Dareld and Rosie Cunningham. Nancy had a professional career with the State of Michigan and City of Lansing as a Human Resources Manager and Director. She excelled in her career and savored the many friendships built along the way. After retirement she continued her life journey as a devoted member and Secretary at Capitol City Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Perkins. Nancy was a firm believer in the power of prayer always waiting on the Lord for the direction in her life. Nancy was an an amazing pianist and vocalist. She took great pride in sharing her talent at her church, as well as, performing at wedding ceremonies for family and friends. She loved her family and friends and embraced sharing in their lifetime moments. Lake Michigan was Nancy's happy place. It was where she was able to unwind, recharge and enjoy time with family and friends. Nancy's irreplaceable and engaging presence will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her and share her special friendship.
She is survived by her brother Gary Cunningham, brother-in-law Larry Baker, Nephews Andrew (Nancy) Baker, Tony ( Randi) Baker, Steve (Sheila) Baker, and niece Lara Baker, along with great nieces Ava, Savannah, Shaniah Baker and great nephew Calvin Cunningham and an abundance of extended family and friends.
Preceding Nancy in death are her parents, brother Charles Cunningham, sister Yvonne Baker and nephews Brian and Keith Cunningham.
Celebration of Nancy's life will be held on November 20th, 2025, with 1 hour of visitation starting at 10am and service starting at 11am at Capitol City Baptist Church.
