

He was born in East Jordan, Mi on February 25, 1935 to Archie and Lucy Misner of Lake Odessa, Mi. He was proceeded in death by; son-in-law Gregg Bumford; grandson Brandon Misner; sisters Viola Fyan, Lucille Bowerman, and Gladys Peabody; brothers, Archie Misner Jr., Mitchell Misner, and Floyd Misner. He survived by his wife of 53 years Marilyn (Pennington) Misner. They were married in Lake Odessa Mi. on November 7, 1964. He is also survived by; daughters Brenda Vugteveen of Hastings, Debbie (Kevin) Kaminski of Lowell. and son Russell Misner Jr. (Lori) Misner of Lake Odessa; sister Luella VanderGriff of St. Johns Mi; grandchildren Becky Barlow, Kyle Kaminski, Jeremy Kaminski, Lindsey Boyer, Lucas Brumm; along with 12 great grandkids, as well as many nieces and nephews. He worked 30 years at Co-Op in Lake Odessa where he retired in 1997. He enjoyed helping his son Russ build derby cars for the Lake Odessa Fair each year. He was an avid collector of John Deere collectables as well as a dedicated Chevy man; he knew how to fix them.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 12noon until 1pm at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral services with be held at 1pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Koops Funeral Chapel with burial taking place immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa, MI.
