Sheila Dean Carter

Sheila will be remembered for her love of Jesus, her compassion for others, her wonderful cakes & beautiful wedding dresses. She loved the outdoors & capturing its beauty in her drawings & paintings. And her LOVE of the color Purple!!

She loved her family unconditionally and was always there for everyone, friend or stranger. She lived her life in service to others and gave with a generous heart.

Sheila was born September 24, 1939 in Metamora, IL. She married the love of her life Steve Carter on June 10, 1959. He proceeded her in death May 1, 2003 along with her daughter Kim Carter in 2021. She is also proceeded in death by her parents Harry & Jennie Phinney and sister Eileen Channey.

Sheila is survived by her daughters; Lyn Carter of Holland, Nancy & David Batdorff of Lake Odessa.

9 grandchildren; George(Laurie) Enz, Macie(Jason) Helmus, Ashley(Josh) Michaels, Myles(Deanna) Eldred, Shayla (Dustin) Morgan, Anna (Cory) Horn, Olivia Lang, Patrick Batdorff, Natalie Lang and 12 Great-Grandchildren; Isabella, Mason, Brayden, Tristen, Arylana, Quorbyn, Ayden, Zoe, Emma, Cooper, Payton & Arya.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 7, 2022 11:00 am at Kilpatrick UB Church with a luncheon to follow.
