William Wayne Slade

William Wayne Slade, age 88, of Lake Odessa, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Corewell Meijer Heart Center. Bill was born on April 1st, 1937 to Harold and Hazel (Slusser) Slade in Lansing, MI. He was a 1955 graduate of Hillsdale High School and went on to MSU to obtain a degree in Business. Which led him to be a devoted fan of Spartan Football and Basketball. Bill worked as a Controller in various manufacturing businesses until his retirement in 2002. On August 15th, 1980 he married Terri L Faulkner-Eldridge. He enjoyed being outside watching birds and animals as well as planting trees and plants. Bill was a man of varied hobbies including cheese making, wine making and even Bonsai Trees.

Bill will be dearly missed by; his wife of 45 years Terri, children Brian (Kristina) Slade, Timm (Mimi) Slade, Linda Shaw, Eric (Nikki) Eldridge and James Eldridge, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings MarySue Anke and Yvonne VanWormer, best buddy Winston, along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Bill in death are his parents, siblings Hazel Bieskie, Harold Slade Jr, Ralph Slade and Dick Slade.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
