Zelma Louise Hanson

Zelma Louise Hanson, 87, of Saranac, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. She was born on June 11, 1927 to Harold and Ruth (Lewis) Hanson in Jackson, MI. She attended school at Eastern High School and graduated in 1945. Zelma worked as an Inspector for Wyeth-Ayerst. She enjoyed reading, knitting and watching movies. Survivors include; two sons, Harold (Susan) D Rush, Terry (Denise Hill) L Rush; three daughters, Laura (Phil) L Bonnell, Luayne (Jim) S Furlong, Sandra (Robin) D Reed; sister Mary L Barry, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Hanson; mother, Ruth Hanson; stepmother, Gladys Hanson; son Floyd D. Rush III and sister Jeanette Wells. Visitation will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel, Inc., Lake Odessa, MI on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 1pm at the Koops Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place in the Lakeside Cemetery immediately following the service.
