Augusto Gutiérrez

Augusto Gutiérrez Díaz passed away on October 30, 2022 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Bertha Gutiérrez Torrez. Augusto was born on November 6, 1937 in Carazo, Nicaragua to Augusto and Ana. He is also survived by his five children and their spouses: Augusto and his wife, Isabela, Rodolfo, Grizelda, Dulce and her husband, Jeremy, Jennifer and her husband, David. Augusto was also the proud Abuelo of Justin, Taylor, Brooke, Lorenzo, Sebastian, Greta, and Gabriel.

Augusto had a tremendous spirit coupled with a deep love for his family.  He and Bertha worked hard to emigrate to the US with their family in the late 1970s and Augusto never ceased to be proud of all of their accomplishments in their adopted homeland.  Augusto remained deeply in love with his Bertita every minute of their life together, a life built on affection and a sense of purpose.  Augusto was the life of the party - a tremendous dancer and storyteller with a quick wit and a hearty laugh.  However, he was most animated when in the company of his grandchildren - he adored each of them profoundly. Augusto will be missed, however the indelible mark that he leaves on the hearts of those in his orbit will always endure. 

A visitation for Augusto will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM. A committal service will follow at 1:00 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.

Augusto nació el 6 de noviembre de 1937, en Carazo, Nicaragua y sus padres fueron Augusto y Ana. También le sobreviven sus 5 hijos y sus cónyuges. Augusto y su esposa, Isabela, Rodolfo, Grizelda, Dulce y su esposo, Jeremy, Jennifer y su esposo, David. Augusto también fue el orgulloso abuelo de Justin, Taylor, Brooke, Lorenzo, Sebastián, Greta, y Gabriel.

Augusto era un alma directa pero gentil y era amigo de todos. Fue mejor conocido por su enfoque directo de la vida y la exuberancia. Era un católico devoto.

Lo extrañaremos inmensamente y siempre será amado.
