Barbara Ellen (Hartwig) Erickson went home to be with Lord on October 15th, 2016 after a long battle against cancer. Barbie was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 11th, 1937, and moved to Mt. Lebanon, PA at an early age. She met her husband, Neil, at Northwestern University, and they were married in 1958. Barbie enjoyed spending time with her family, PEO, taking pictures, and working crossword puzzles. Barbie was a member of the Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church where she worked in the nursery, taught Sunday School, and served as a committee member.
She is survived by her husband, Neil, their three sons, Scott, Todd, and Craig, their daughter Pam (Erickson) Sakalosky; their four spouses Michele, Deon, Claudia, and Mark; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Puck) Hartwig, sisters Dorothy (Hartwig) Albright, Susan Hartwig, Ginna Alter, and their families.
Friends are welcome to attend a 10:30 a.m. Memorial Service Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, 2101 6th Ave. S., Lake Worth, Florida 33461, 561-582-5686.
